people can say what they want about Floyd, but Dana is right. People continue to buy PPV to see him fight…I remember when Dana said the UFC wouldnt stay away from Floyd. I bet he does now. Can’t remember the last time a Mayweather PPV didnt do 1m buys. Hate him or love him….he sells

all of this is @rskurow ……so again ur being a hippocrit cuz like i said kids were punching each other in the face bcuz of Boxing and Boxing also allows their fighters 2 get brain damage look at the amount of BRAIN DAMAGE from boxing COMPARED to MMA honestly if a boxer gets up in less than 10s can keep going?? or have a guy get knocked down and hit him 2 more times and the ref stops it right then and there so ur logic has just been proved against EVERYTING ur say U LOSE GOOD DAY SIR:D:D

  10. UBUDUBUDU says:

U R DUMB people wouldnt play football if they couldnt make money either hahahaha and society is based off of money and most fighters who started fighting MMA wen they didnt make shit off of it………..some people love fighting…………i mean come on people 30 years ago were boxing each otha bcuz of boxers MMA is less violent than boxing bcuz people get brain damage cuz u CONTINUELY let them get up and get hit in the face again…in MMA u have 2 survive and give the ref a reason 2 stop it!!

  11. hopelessdrugaddict says:

@TreeTrunk82 I am letting this go. I feel that you will not understand or accept what I say, no matter what I say. So we will just let time tell what effect MMA has on our children.

  13. TreeTrunk82 says:

accept it & stop ruining it for everyone else. It’s now obvious why you dislike MMA. You’re losing more and more credibility everytime you leave a comment. Why don’t you talk trash about video games instead of MMA. Think about the different effects video games would have instead of mma. Video games: You control someone to kill anyone. MMA: two fighters fighting in a cage with rules and regulations. The fighters almost always have more respect for one another after the fight.

  14. TreeTrunk82 says:

@rskurow What does MMA have to do with u seeing kids nose getting broken, some1 kicked in the face or having their eyes smashed? Did you assume the kids were all trained in MMA? Any1 could do that without mma. U were “sitting ringside” during a boxing fight? Boxing isn’t violence to you?! It seems like you’re a boxing fan (for “40 years”) who dislikes MMA because of how popular it has become.. or should I say how “commercial, too in your face&too acceptable”. MMA has become more popular. Please

Respond to this video… Continued .. I truly believe in my heart that Mr. White and his partners are doing great damage to society, but I have no control over what others do. But as for me, I will continue to voice my opposition to violence for the sake of entertainment and profit. If money and fame were not offered, these fighters would not be fighting. I doubt you will ever see MMA taught in schools as tennis and football is. You have your opinion, I have mine. Take care my friend.

Respond to this video… Continued … I saw other kids get their noses broken, get kicked in the face and have their eyes smashed. It is different when you see it in person, close up. That violences teaches you a lesson, a much different lesson than having an announcer call a choke out “beautiful” while girls in bikinis march around the ring. MMA is wildly popular, so was the Roman Colosseum. We will just have to wait and see how MMA effects kids, but I am betting it will be bad.

Respond to this video… I understand your perspective, here’s mine. Mohammad Ali is the biggest hero in my life, not for his fighting, but for his stand against the government and the VIetnam war. I was sitting ringside when Du Koo Kim was killed fighting Ray Mancini. It still affects me today, almost 40 years later. Mr. Kim was the bravest person I have ever seen. People, especially children emulate what they see. growing up I saw many fist fights, but I never say anybody put in a choke.

  18. rskurow says:

@TreeTrunk82 Obviously you are an intelligent and civil person, and I respect that. Yes, most all media violence is a bad influence on minds. Tv, moves and video games are all contributing factors. Yes, other cultures and martial arts approach violence differently. Yes, the vast majority of fighters are gentlemen. But that does not make MMA excusable. Yes, it is hard not to watch violence, it is in mens DNA. But MMA has taken it too far, to commercial and too in your face and too acceptable.

  19. TreeTrunk82 says:

@rskurow arguments about genetics&how these people were raised playing a big role. Nature v. nurture. When I was in high school, there were many foreign exchange students that were martial artists. Most were from Korea&few from the rest of Asia. They were the nicest, most gentle & courteous people I’ve ever met. Some have been studying martial arts all their lives. Please explain why they haven’t been affected if they have been exposed to martial arts their whole lives? MMA teaches discipline!

  20. TreeTrunk82 says:

@rskurow How does this prove MMA, in particular, causes people to think hurting people is good? Media violence does include extremely violent video games (#1 cause in my opinion), movies (texas chainsaw massacre, nightmare on elm st., friday the 13th, etc), and TV shows/cartoons (the Flinstones). Yes.. even the Flinstones, which has been around for many years and is still on tv, was violent. Kids used to watch this all the time. I used to watch it, my grandparents even watched it. There are

  21. rskurow says:

@TreeTrunk82 University of Michigan professor L. Rowell Huesmann, argue that fifty years of evidence show “that exposure to media violence causes children to behave more aggressively and affects them as adults years later.

  22. TreeTrunk82 says:

@ubraw “Proven fact”? Please… prove your facts! What reliable sources do you have?? Prove MMA causes people to think hurting people is good!

  23. sychophantt says:

@ThePiranha225 Wandy go back to Japan where you can use your steroids. You SUCK just like SOnnen said.

  24. ubraw says:

@gavidia1991 My life is not “pathetic” I am 62 and have led a fantastic life. There is definitely something I can do about “it”, I can voice my opinion, just like you. THat is what makes America great.

  25. ubraw says:

@airforce7385 Well I would agree with you, but I saw a fighter get his jaw broken (for the second time) on TV last week. To me, a broken jaw is a serious injury, an injury that will effect that person for the rest of his life.
